The initial impression is that it looks pretty sleek, with a dark, clean interface that makes the face image the star. It claims to use AI under the hood, which is exactly what pulls you in, to see if this random app can actually make you look convincingly old or transformed.

After tapping to snap a fresh selfie or pulling one from your gallery, the app takes over and processes your face. The on-boarding is simple; it walks you through one or two steps before you can start generating futures. The main actions are picking a filter for aging, gender swaps, or weight changes, and then watching a loading bar. In practice, the aging filter does a decent job adding wrinkles and gray hair, but the face shape can sometimes warp slightly around the jaw if your original picture has bad lighting. A practical tip is to use a straight-on, well-lit photo for the best results. The app has some ads pop up after each generation, which can interrupt the flow, but you can close them quickly. Navigating between the different effects feels logical, though the previews are a bit on the smaller side for my taste.

After playing with it for a while, I think Future Face is a solid time-killer for people who love seeing funny or shocking versions of their own face, like at parties or just for a laugh with friends. It is not a serious tool, and you would not rely on it for anything professional like health research.
